Slab Dressing

Korora Timbers uses a slab dressing machine based on the commercial “Slabmaster” units. It uses a powerful 4hp motor to efficiently transform a rough slab into a perfectly flat, evenly thicknessed, and sanded piece, virtually ready for oiling/coating. Slabs up to 4m in length and 1.4m wide can be accommodated. Prices for dressing are around $40 per square meter of timber per side. Particularly hard and uneven slabs may incur an extra charge, as may slabs with large sections of resin.
